Bissendorf-Wietze is an eastern part of the municipality Wedemark in the Hanover region in Lower Saxony .

geography

Bissendorf-Wietze is the smallest district in terms of area, which is characterized by a dense population of trees. The place is traversed by the eponymous Wietze and makes up the largest part of the Wietzesiedlung . The Natelsheidesee is located in its area .

history

On March 1, 1974, the communities of Bissendorf and Wennebostel were incorporated into the new community of Wedemark.

At the initiative of the Wietze-Gemeinschaft , the administrative committee of the Wedemark municipal council decided on April 27, 2009, after consulting the local councils concerned, to conduct an opinion poll in the settlement area of ​​a future village of Bissendorf-Wietze.

On the basis of the voting result, the council of the municipality Wedemark decided on February 15, 2010 to change the main statute of the municipality. When it came into force on November 1, 2011, the Bissendorf-Wietze district was created.
