Oldřiš (German Woldrisch , 1939–45 Oldris ) is a district of the municipality of Krouna in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers northeast of Hlinsko and belongs to the Okres Chrudim .

geography

Oldřiš is located in the northern foothills of the Saar Mountains ( Žďárské vrchy ) on the upper reaches of the Žejbro brook. South of the village, the state road I / 34 runs tangentially between Hlinsko and Polička , behind which extends the protected landscape area CHKO Žďárské vrchy . The Žejbro and the Kotelský potok arise southeast of Oldřiš . In the south rise the Kořenný kopec (667 m nm) and the Na Bahnech (663 m nm), west of the Kladenský kopec.

Neighboring towns are Radčice , Dolívka , Lešany , Hesiny and Spálená Sázka in the north, Miřetín and Otradov in the northeast, Krouna in the east, Fortna and Humperky in the south, Dědová in the southwest, Kladno in the west and Vojtěchov and Pokřikov in the northwest.

history

The first documentary mention of the village took place in the country table in 1392 , when Smil Flaška von Pardubitz handed over the Richenburg with the associated 62 villages to Otto von Bergow and Boček II from Podiebrad .

In 1835, the rustic village of Woldřiš , located in the Chrudim district , consisted of 36 houses in which 199 people lived. The parish was Krauna . Until the mid-19th century was Woldřiš the rule Richburg servants.

After the abolition of patrimonial Voldříš formed from 1849 a municipality in the judicial district of Skuch . From 1868 the community belonged to the political district Hohenmauth . In 1869 Voldříš had 183 inhabitants and consisted of 38 houses. In 1880, 210 people lived in Voldříš , in 1910 there were 191. Since 1924 Oldřiš has been used as an official municipality name. In 1930 Oldřiš had 227 inhabitants. In 1949 the community was assigned to Okres Hlinsko, since 1961 it has belonged to Okres Chrudim. On January 1, 1976, it was incorporated into Krouna. In the 2001 census, there were 113 people living in the 40 houses in Oldřiš.

There was a slate quarry near Oldřiš, which also contained red and brown iron ore . The oldest elm of the Pardubický kraj stood in Oldřiš until the middle of the 20th century.
