The rowing competition in the men's lightweight double sculls at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from July 29 to August 4, 2012 on Dorney Lake . 40 athletes in 20 boats competed.

The rowing regatta, which was held over 2000 meters, began with four heats. The first two made it to the semi-finals A / B, the rest of them started in the hope runs . In the two races, the first two boats were able to qualify for the semi-finals A / B. The remaining boats made it to the semi-finals C / D.

The semifinals A / B and C / D were held in two runs each. The first three came into Finals A and C, the others into Finals B and D. Finals B, C and D were used to determine places 7 to 20, while Final A was used to award medals.

The qualified boats are highlighted in light green.
