The Switzerland took part in the Winter Olympics in 1952 in the Norwegian capital Oslo with 55 athletes, nine women and 46 men, in part.

Since 1924 it was the sixth participation of a Swiss team in the Winter Olympics .

Flag bearer

The ice hockey player Ulrich Poltera wore the flag of Switzerland during the opening ceremony in the Bislett Stadium , at the closing ceremony , also in the Bislett Stadium, it was carried by the cross-country skier Alfons Supersaxo .

With two bronze medals won the Swiss team was ranked 11 in the medal count .
