Don't be afraid, just once in a lifetime.

No rain can wash away my tears.
No wind can soothe my pain.
You made me doubt, you made me fear.
But now I'm not the same.

You took my wife, my unborn son,
torn into the deep of the ocean.
I don't pretend that I love you,
cause there is nothing left to lose. "

- Refrain, original excerpt

“Calm down my heart, don't beat so fast.
Don't be afraid just once in a lifetime.

No rain can blur my tears
No wind can calm my pain.
You made me doubt, you scared me.
But I'm not the same anymore.

You took my wife and my unborn son,
tore them into the depths of the ocean.
I don't have to pretend I love you
anymore because there's nothing left to lose. "

- Refrain, German translation

“Fan crescere, non perdere.
Le cose che, almeno una volta.

Potevo fare giuste e che.
Non è difficile.
Unstable per uno meno.
Solo gestirsele.

E invece poi invece mai,
che riesca a tenermele strette.
Che riesca a conservarmele,
sarà paura o sarà che. "

- Refrain, Italian translation of 883

Music video

The music video for Once in a Lifetime was shot on a beach. The video can be divided into two sections. For one thing, it tells the story of an older man. He is sitting on a beach and playing chess alone with himself . During the game his gaze often turns to the sea while he remembers his past. This is followed by scenes of a young woman playing with her child on the same beach and scenes of an exuberant party where he and the woman are guests. In a short sequence you can see the two sitting together alone at the party, whereby it is slowly faded out. Towards the end of the video the man can be seen playing chess with the woman and the child, but the woman and the child are slowly faded out and the man is alone again. On the other hand, the two Wolfsheim members can be seen again and again who are at different points on the said beach. While Heppner sings the song, Reinhardt accompanies him, who is equipped with an accordion . The old man's flashbacks are shown in black and white , the man himself and Wolfsheim are shown in color. The total length of the video is 3:43 minutes. Directed by Iwie Candy X07 from the German indie rock band Throw That Beat in the Garbagecan , the video was produced by EVF Video & Filmproduktion. To date, the video has over 4.3 million views on YouTube (as of April 2017).
