As early as the 2015/16 season, when he was part of the old B-youth class, he trained with the professional team during the international breaks, which has now been coached by his father. In the 2016/17 season, as a young age group of the A-youth, he played for the first time in the second men's team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nordost . After Dárdai had already trained more regularly with the professionals, his father called him to the matchday squad for the Bundesliga game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on April 5, 2017 due to a few failures . In the 0-1 defeat of Hertha, however, he was not substituted on.

Professional at Hertha BSC

For the 2017/18 season, Dárdai moved up to the professional squad. However, he continued to collect match experience in the second team and the A-youth, for which he was last eligible to play this season. On November 2, 2017, Dárdai made his debut under his father in the first team when he was substituted on for Alexander Esswein in the 80th minute of the 2-0 win in the Europa League group game against Zorya Luhansk . For another Europa League appearance - and his first starting eleven in the first team - he came in the 1-1 draw against Östersunds FK on the last day of the group, before the departure of the Berliners had already been determined. On April 28, 2018, Dárdai made his debut under his father in the Bundesliga when he came on for Salomon Kalou in the 71st minute of the 2-2 draw against FC Augsburg . Dárdai had scored 7 goals in 21 regional league appearances before the season break, which was made necessary by the COVID-19 pandemic in March. In April he returned to the professional squad under Bruno Labbadia , the fourth head coach of the season.
