Paula Garcés
Paula Garcés (born March 20, 1974 in New York ) is an American actress of Colombian descent.
Life
Paula Garcés, the daughter of a teacher and a fisherman, moved to New York City as a child , where she grew up in Spanish Harlem . At times she worked as a kickboxer . The actress made her debut on an episode of the 1991 television series Law & Order . In the comedy Help! Everyone is Great (1993) she played a small supporting role at the side of Michael J. Fox , in the drama Dangerous Minds (1995) she was to be seen next to Michelle Pfeiffer . In the drama Harvest (1998) she played one of the bigger roles.
Garcés played a leading role in the science fiction comedy Clockstoppers (2002). This was followed by a larger role in the adventure comedy Harold & Kumar (2004) and its sequels Harold & Kumar 2 - Escape from Guantanamo (2008) and A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (2011). In the action comedy The Lord of the House (2005) with Tommy Lee Jones , she played alongside Christina Milian , Monica Keena , Vanessa Ferlito and Kelli Garner, one of the five cheerleaders who watched an attack. In the comedy Pledge This! (2006) Garcés played the role of Gloria Torrez , who fights against intrigue by Victoria English ( Paris Hilton ). In 2007, the actress' voice was heard in the animated short film Red Princess Blues Animated: The Book of Violence , which she co-produced. In 2009 she was part of the main cast of the internationally produced science fiction series Defying Gravity - Love in Space , which was ended after one season.
She has been married to Antonio Hernandez, owner of a New York deli , since early 2002 .
