action

It's been five years since Phineas and Ferb took in the platypus Perry as a pet. Their latest equipment is supposed to imitate Perry's reflexes for a gigantic badminton game. Together with their friends Isabella, Buford and Baljeet they construct a large catapult. Meanwhile, Perry, in his role as Agent P., is on a mission against the scientist Dr. Called Doofenshmirtz. The boys, who have no idea of his double life, are amazed, but do not allow themselves to be distracted to test their equipment. Phineas and Ferb, who shot themselves over the city with their catapult, collide with Perry's missile vehicle in the air and plunge into Dr. Exit Doofenshmirtz's laboratory.

Candace, the sister of the two, is depressed because her boyfriend Jeremy, who is a year older, is about to go to college. She therefore wants to grow up herself. At the same time, she begins to believe in a “puzzling force” which, strangely enough, always causes Phineas and Ferb's equipment to disappear exactly when her mother appears. When Candace and her friend Stacy check on the boys, the equipment is gone. She believes that the "Enigmatic Force" sees her as an adult, and ambitiously follows the boys into the park, where Buford is waiting with another piece of equipment. In the laboratory, Phineas and Ferb meet Doofenshmirtz for the first time, who is currently working on an “other dimensions inator”. Since the machine was damaged in its crash, they offer their help to the scientist. When Perry joins, he has to stand by and watch as the boys help his archenemy, as he is not allowed to identify himself as an intelligent being to the two of them. With the help of the boys, Doofenshmirtz actually manages to open a portal into a second dimension, in which Doofenshmirtz is an autocratic ruler.

When the other Doofenshmirtz discovers his likeness and the boys, he sets his Robo-Perry on them. The real Perry is forced to defend the boys, thus revealing his secret identity. At the last moment they can escape the 'norm botters' while Doofenshmirtz is captured by his evil self. Phineas is mad at Perry for hiding so much from them and feels exploited. He only calms down when Ferb points out that, in view of the impending danger, it is more important to return to their own world first. When you try to open a portal with Doofenshmirtz's remote control, you must discover that it leads into a wrong dimension. They choose to seek support from their alternate selves, but come to the realization that they are so twisted that no help can be expected from them.

Through a television report, Perry finds out that the other Doofenshmirtz lets Phineas and Ferb go if Perry surrenders himself to him. The argument breaks out again when the platypus tries to sneak away. Perry eventually leaves, leaving Phineas angry. The boys now want to find the other Isabella, who is supposedly involved in the resistance. They are stopped by a standard botter, but saved by the other Buford. In Isabella's house, they are picked up by the Girl Scouts and they learn that the other Candace is leading the resistance. Dr. Baljeet, the Baljeet of the other dimension, describes the interdimensional travel and opens a portal back to the first dimension.

Candace, meanwhile, believes that the "Enigmatic Force" devoured her brothers. When she discovers the portal, she jumps through it with the intention of saving Phineas and Ferb, which closes the gate behind her and she is also trapped in the other dimension. The brothers don't want to return without first saving Perry. Together with the resistance and their alternative selves, they start a liberation campaign in Doofenshmirtz's headquarters. However, Phineas, Ferb and Candace get caught in a trap and are also captured.

The other Doofenshmirtz wants to force her to set a second "other dimensions inator" in motion to switch to her dimension and subjugate it as well. When the brothers vehemently refuse their support, their Doofenshmirtz remembers how the boys did it the first time and aligns the machine so that a portal opens into their own world. The other Doofenshmirtz, now at the goal of his plans, throws his five prisoners to a monster to eat. The other Candace surprisingly rushes to her rescue. With the help of the Dimensions remote control, you can return to your own after crossing various worlds. The Doofenshmirtz of the parallel dimension has already started his invasion and sent his Norm-Botter through the portal into the city.

Perry contacts Major Monogram, the leader of his secret organization, and joins the city's defense. Phineas and Ferb, whose help is declined (because of the insurance), go home. There they discover one of Perry's secret passages and end up in his hiding place, in which many of their missing equipment can be found. A message from Perry tells them that the platypus has had the devices replicated by his organization and is now asking them to help him. On the roof of Doofenshmirtz the decisive fight with the villain takes place, from which the protagonists emerge victorious. Candace, however, comes up with the idea of bringing her parents so that - as in every episode - the robots and devices simply disappear in a mysterious way. She succeeds exactly at the moment when Phineas, Ferb and Perry have defeated the enemy, so that Candace sees herself as a world saver.

In their celebration of victory, the brothers from Major Monogram are informed that Perry has to leave them now that he has revealed his secret. They now understand why the platypus has fooled them all these years and are sad. However, Carl, an intern at the organization, comes up with the idea of simply erasing all memories of what happened with Doofenshmirtz 'amnesia inator. Phineas and Ferb agree so as not to lose their friend. Just before they lose their memories, Isabella kisses Phineas passionately. The next day, when everything is back to normal and the series has been restored to its original state, Perry goes to his hiding place, where he happily uploads photos of their adventure together.
