Prakovce (German Prakendorf , Hungarian Prakfalva - until 1907 Prakfalu ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia .

It is located in the Slovak Ore Mountains in the Göllnitz Valley , 7 km from the town of Gelnica . The place has its own rail connection on the Margecany – Červená Skala railway line .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1368 as Villa Prakonis .
