Nálepkovo (until 1948 in Slovak "Vondrišel"; German Wagendrüssel , Hungarian Merény - until 1877 Vagendrüssel ) is a municipality in eastern Slovakia . It is located in the Hnilec Valley , between the Hnilecké vrchy and Volovské vrchy mountains , around 20 km from Spišská Nová Ves and 25 km from Gelnica .
The place was first mentioned in writing as Vagndruzel in 1290 . In 1948 the place was named after the Slovak officer and partisan commander Ján Nálepka .
In addition to the actual village, the municipality also includes the municipal parts Čierna Hora (German Schwarzenberg ), Hámre (German Hammer ) and Zahájnica .
