It is located in the Hnilecké vrchy , a northeastern part of the Slovak Ore Mountains in the Göllnitz Valley , 5 km from the town of Gelnica .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1368 as Villa Zakery .
There is a Roman Catholic church in the village from 1812.
