Quảng Trị is a province in central Vietnam ( Bắc Trung Bộ ), 600 km south of Ha Noi . The provincial capital is Đông Hà . The area covers an area of around 4,750 km² with a population of around 623,500 (2016). Quang Tri borders on Huế .
Significance in the Vietnam War
Quang Tri was at the dividing point of Vietnam during the Vietnam War . During this war, the region was an extensive battlefield (especially at 9 Street and Khe Sanh).
