Cao Bằng is a province ( tỉnh ) of Vietnam . It is located in the northeast of the country in the Đông Bắc region . The province is mountainous and heavily forested. One of the province's attractions is the Bản Giốc waterfall . The population lives mainly from agriculture and forestry.
