Ratsberg

Ratsberg is a district of the Holstein district town of Pinneberg in the state of Schleswig-Holstein . It is the northernmost part of the city and was part of the former rural community of Pinnebergerdorf . In official documents and plans, only the current name Ratsberg is used, while in the vernacular the terms Pinneberg Nord and Pinnebergerdorf are also used analogously .
geography
Ratsberg lies north of the Pinnau between the tributaries of Riedbach and Mühlenau . The water level of the Pinnau, which flows 19 km further west into the Lower Elbe , depends on the tide from here . Together with the Hamburg-Altona-Kiel railway line , the Pinnau largely forms the southern border of Ratsberg. To the south of this are the municipality of Rellingen and the Pinneberg districts of Zentrum and Quellental . In the west Ratsberg borders on the municipality of Prisdorf , in the north on the municipalities of Kummerfeld and Borstel-Hohenraden and in the east on the municipality of Tangstedt .
history
Ratsberg mainly includes the former rural community Pinnebergerdorf , which was incorporated into Pinneberg in 1905 with an area of 532 hectares and 1,500 inhabitants. In the course of industrialization, many workers from Pinneberg settled here. With the exception of the new development areas, today's buildings mostly date from the 1930s, 50s and 70s. The water tower built in 1912, a kind of landmark of Pinneberg, is now part of the Ratsberg district.
Transport and infrastructure
The Hamburg-Altona-Kiel railway runs along the south-western border of the district . The nearest train stations are one to two kilometers away in Prisdorf and in the center of Pinneberg . From here there are direct regional connections to Hamburg , Itzehoe and Kiel as well as a S-Bahn connection to Hamburg and Stade . The bus routes 185 and 594 of the Hamburg-Holstein transport company connect Ratsberg with Wedel , Quickborn , Norderstedt , Ellerhoop and the west of Hamburg.
In the east of Ratsberg the Autobahn 23 runs with the junction Pinneberg Nord, which connects the district and the industrial area there with Hamburg and Heide (Holstein) . In addition, several state roads converge in Ratsberg : in the northeast the L 76 leads to Quickborn , in the west the L 106 to Uetersen and in the northwest the L 107, on which there is another industrial area, to Elmshorn . A bypass road is planned in the west of the district, which will connect the A 23 with Pinnebergs Westring and the L 103 to Schenefeld and Hamburg.
The Pinnau is a federal waterway from Ratsberg and is subject to the shipping route regulations . It flows into the Pagensander Nebenelbe and flows over the Elbe into the North Sea . On the other side of the A 23 is the Pinneberg weather radio transmitter .
Ratsberg has two day-care centers, a primary school and a primary and regional school (school center north).
