Government of all talents
The ministry of all the talents ( The Ministry of All the Talents ) was developed by William Wyndham Grenville , educated, 1st Baron Grenville. It existed from February 1806 to March 1807. Grenville had been appointed Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after the death of William Pitts the Younger on February 11, 1806 . Since the country was at war ( coalition wars ), it was Grenville's goal to form the strongest possible government. He involved the leading politicians of as many groups as possible - but the supporters of Pitt, led by George Canning, refused to support them. The involvement ofCharles James Fox caused astonishment because King George III. had previously shown extremely hostile stance towards Fox. The king's willingness to brush aside old hostilities encouraged many others to join or support the government.
The government of all talents had comparatively little success. She did not succeed in making peace with France. However, in 1807, she managed the Slave Trade Act the slave trade from before because of the question of the emancipation of Catholics broke. It was followed by the second government of Portland .
