The regional constituency of Lower Austria East (constituency 3G) is a regional constituency in Austria that is formed in the case of elections to the National Council for the award of mandates in the first preliminary investigation . The constituency includes the political districts of Bruck an der Leitha and Gänserndorf .
In the 2019 National Council election in Austria , 151,346 people were eligible to vote in the Lower Austria East regional constituency, with the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) emerging as the strongest party with 38.7%. While the ÖVP and the Greens , which together formed the Kurz II government after the election , together achieved an increase of 15.2 percentage points compared to the previous National Council election, the SPÖ and FPÖ together lost almost the same amount (15.3 percentage points). Of the four basic mandates to be awarded , one mandate went to the ÖVP and one to the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ), however, lost its previously held mandate.
The members of the constituency in the National Council are Angela Baumgartner from the ÖVP from the Gänserndorf district and Katharina Kucharowits from the SPÖ from the Bruck an der Leitha district .
Until 2017, the electoral district 3G was called the regional constituency of Lower Austria South-East and included the districts of Baden and Bruck an der Leitha, due to the dissolution of the Vienna-Umgebung district on January 1, 2017, the regional constituency of Lower Austria South-East was also dissolved.
