Resident Evil 3 ( Jap. バイオハザードRE: 3 , Baiohazādo RE: 3 ) is one of Capcom developed survival horror - video game , that on April 3, 2020 Windows , PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been released.
The game is a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis and a sequel to the Resident Evil game series .
Gameplay
Resident Evil 3 is a remake of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis , a survival horror video game released in 1999 for the PlayStation .
In contrast to the original, which has a fixed camera perspective setting, the remake offers a pursuer's perspective , similar to the remake Resident Evil 2 from 2019.
The remake also includes an online multiplayer mode, called Resident Evil: Resistance , in which a team of four players competes against a “ mastermind ” who can create traps, enemies and other obstacles.

The story takes place at the same time as the events of Resident Evil 2 , released in 1998 . Former STARS officer Jill Valentine tries to escape the fictional Raccoon City during a zombie apocalypse caused by the T-Virus outbreak . She is pursued by an artificial intelligence powered bio-weapon called the Nemesis, which attempts to eliminate her and any remaining STARS members. The game also follows the mercenary Carlos Oliveira who was hired by the Umbrella organization to find and help survivors.

The first public mention was made after the release of the Resident Evil 2 remake by Capcom producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi in February 2019. In December 2019, the Resident Evil 3 remake was officially announced with a release date.
M-Two, which was founded by former PlatinumGames CEO Tatsuya Minami , is involved in the development of the video game . The Resident Evil 3 remake is based on the RE engine, which was also used for the development of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and the Resident Evil 2 remake.
The multiplayer mode Resident Evil: Resistance is developed by NeoBards Entertainment .
A Collectors Edition will be available for the console versions , which will include a Jill Valentine character, a hardcover art book, a Raccoon City map poster and a soundtrack disc .
The Russian model Sasha Zotova was the model for the appearance of the protagonist Jill Valentine .
