Resnikowo ( Russian Резниково , German Röseningken , 1938-1946 Rößningen ) is a town in the southeast of the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Gawrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Gawrilowo ( Gawaiten , 1938-1946 Herzogsrode )) in Ozyorsky District ( Darkehmen district , Angerapp 1938–1946 ).

Geographical location

Resnikowo is on a side road that leads from the Rajons capital Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ) via Bagrationowo ( Wikischken , 1938-1946 Wiecken ) to Kutusowo ( Kleszowen , 1936-1938 Kleschowen , 1938-1946 Kleschauen ), where it leads to a few kilometers in the Russian-Polish border area. The now no longer operated railway line runs along the northeastern border. It used to run from Insterburg (now Russian: Tschernjachowsk) to Lyck (now Polish: Ełk).

history

In the former Gutsdorf Röseningken there lived 163 inhabitants in 1863, the number of which fell to 151 by 1910. On May 6, 1874, the place was one of the 13 rural communities or manor districts that formed the newly founded Weedern District (today Russian: Suworowka), which until 1945 belonged to the Darkehmen district (1939–1945 Angerapp district ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

On January 28, 1924, the rural community Grünwalde was incorporated into the Röseningken estate, and on October 17, 1928 Roseningken lost its independence when it was incorporated into the rural community of Bidszuhnen (1936–1938 Bidschuhnen , 1938–1946 Bidenteich , after 1946 Prigorodnoje). In the course of the politically and ideologically wanted “Germanization” of the place names, Röseningken was given the changed name “Rößningen” on June 3, 1938 (officially confirmed on July 16, 1938).

As a result of the Second World War , the place came under Soviet administration and was renamed again in 1946: as "Resnikowo" he was incorporated into the Bagrationowski soviet (Dorfsovjet Bagrationowo ( Wikischken , 1938-1946 Wiecken )). Due to a structural and administrative reform, Resnikowo came to Gavrilowskoje selskoje posselenije in Osjorsk Rajon in the now Russian Kaliningrad Oblast .

church

Röseningken / Rößningen, with its predominantly Protestant population, was parish before 1945 in the Wilhelmsberg parish (today in Russian: Jablonowka). It belonged to the church district Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Günther Warm .

All church life was forbidden in the Soviet Union . In the 1990s, new Protestant parishes formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast , including in the former Wilhelmsberg parish in the village of Kadymka ( Eszerningken , 1936–1946 Escherningken , 1938–1946 Eschingen , since 1946: Kadymka). It belongs to the Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia . The responsible rectory is that of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).
