Slawkino ( Russian Славкино , German Good Wilhelmsberg ) is a small town in the southeast of the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Gawrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Gawrilowo ( Gawaiten , 1938-1946 Herzogsrode )) in Ozyorsky District (District Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ).

Geographical location

Slawkino is located two kilometers northwest of the neighboring village Jablonowka ( Wilhelmsberg (village) ) on a road that leads via Kadymka ( Eszerningken / Escherningken , 1938–1946 Eschingen ) and Dubrawa ( Buylien , 1938–1946 Schulzenwalde ) to Olchowatka ( Walterkehmen , 1938–1946 Großwaltersdorf ) leads. The northern border of the town forms the Rasliwnaja river ( Friedrichsberger Fließ ).

history

The Gutsdorf Wilhelmsberg belonged on May 6, 1874 to the eleven rural communities or manor districts that formed the new district Wilhelmsberg with its seat in Wilhelmsberg (village) (today Russian: Jablonowka). He was in the district of Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia and remained until 1945. In 1910 the Wilhelmsberg manor district had 146 inhabitants and was therefore larger than the nearby village of the same name.

On October 17, 1928, the rural community of Szameitschen, Ksp. Wilhelmsberg (1938–1938 Schameitschen , 1938–1946 Brahmannsdorf , since 1946: Solnetschnoje) and the manor districts of Königsfelde (Nowo-Slawjanskoje) and Wilhelmsberg were incorporated into the new rural community Wilhelmsberg (Jablonowka).

As a result of the Second World War , Gut Wilhelmsberg came under Soviet administration and in 1946 was given the place name "Slawkino". By 2009 it was incorporated into the Bagrationovsky soviet (Dorfsovjet Bagrationowo ( Wikischken , 1938–1946 Wiecken )) and then, due to a structural and administrative reform, it came to the Gavrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Gawrilowo ( Gawaiten , 1938–1946 Herzogsrode , 1938–1946 Herzogsrode ) as a “settlement” )) in Osyorsk Raion in Kaliningrad Oblast .

church

The Good William Hill, with its pre-1945 predominantly Protestant population belonged to the parish Wilhelmsberg (Russian: Jablonowka) in Kirchenkreis Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) in the ecclesiastical province of East Prussia the Prussian Union of churches . The last German clergyman was Pastor Johannes Schenk .

While all church life was forbidden during the Soviet era , a new Protestant community was formed in the 1990s in the neighboring village of Kadymka ( Eszerningken / Escherningken , 1938–1946 Eschingen ), just one kilometer to the north . It is incorporated into the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER). The responsible rectory is that of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).
