Krasny Bor ( Russian Красный Бор , German Kellmienen , 1938-1946 Kellmen is) a place in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Gawrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Gawrilowo ( Gawaiten , 1938-1946 Herzogsrode )) in Rajon Osjorsk ( Darkehmen district , Angerapp 1938–1946 ).

location

Krasny Bor is nine kilometers east of the district capital Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ) and is via Porchowskoje ( Kermuschienen , 1938–1946 Fritzenau ) on the road from Osjorsk to the Russian-Polish border crossing Gussew / Gołdap ( Gumbinnen / Goldap , on the former German Reichsstrasse 132 ). There is no rail connection.

history

The former Kellmienen was first mentioned in records in 1701 in the church accounts of the parish of Kleszowen (1936–1938 Kleschowen , 1938–1946 Kleschauen , since 1946: Kutusowo). At that time it was named as Vorwerk . The Great Plague (Prussia) left Kellmienen deserted.

The small place on the eastern edge of the Grimmen Forest was a district of the estate district Adlig Pogrimmen , which in 1928 became part of the rural community of Pogrimmen (1938-1946 Grimmen ). Until 1945 it belonged to the administrative district (Prussia) Wilhelmsberg (today Russian: Jablonowka) in the district of Darkehmen (1938–1946 Angerapp ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia . As a result of the Second World War , the place called "Kellmen" since June 3, 1938 (with official confirmation of July 16, 1938) came under Soviet administration and was renamed Krasny Bor in 1946. By 2009, the village was in the Bagrationowski soviet (village Soviet Bagrationowo ( Wikischken , 1938-1946 Wiecken )) incorporated, then came as a result of structural and administrative reform as a "settlement" called place for Gawrilowskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Gawrilowo) in Ozyorsky District in the now Russian Kaliningrad Oblast . If the village survived the Second World War reasonably well, the buildings did not begin to fall apart until the 1990s.

church

Until 1945 Kellmienen or Kellmen with its mostly Protestant population was parish in the Wilhelmsberg parish (since 1946: Jablonowka). It belonged to the church district Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Johannes Schenk .

During the time of the Soviet Union , all church activities were prohibited. It was not until the 1990s that an evangelical congregation was formed again in the town of Kadymka ( Eszerningken / Escherningken , 1938–1946 Eschingen ), which was formerly part of the Wilhelmsberg parish, and is integrated into the Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELCER) . It belongs to the church region (parish district) of the Salzburg church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ).

school

There was a first school in Kellmienen in 1764. It taught the children from Kellmienen, Adlig / Königlich Pogrimmen (1938–1946 Grimmen , Russian: Pskowskoje) and Brindlacken (1938–1946 Kleinfritzenau , Russian: Prudnoje) until 1945 .
