Ossipenko ( Russian Осипенко , German nobleman Pogrimmen , 1928–1938 to Pogrimmen , 1938–1945 to Grimmen [Ostpr.] ) Is a place in the southeast of the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad and belongs to the municipal self-government unit of the Osjorsk district in Osyorsk Rajon .

Geographical location

Ossipenko is located on the southeast edge of les Osjorezki , the former Grimmer Forest. The Wika (Wiek) flows through the village .

Ossipenko can be reached via a cul-de-sac that starts in Porchowskoje ( Kermuschienen , 1938–1945 Fritzenau ) - on the communal road 27K-176 between Osjorsk via Gavrilowo and leads via Krasny Bor ( Kellmienen , 1938–1945 Kellmen ).

A railway connection no longer exists since the former railway line from Insterburg (today Russian: Tschernjachowsk) to Lyck (today Polish: Ełk) with the railway station in Wikischken (1938–1946 Wieck , since 1946 Bagrationowo) was no longer activated after 1945.

history

When the district of Wilhelmsberg was formed on May 6, 1874 , the eleven rural communities or manor districts that founded it included the manor district of Adlig Pogrimmen and the rural community of Königlich Pogrimmen . He was in the district of Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia , to which he belonged until 1945.

Noble Pogrimmen (Gut) had 158 inhabitants in 1910, while Royal Pogrimmen (village) only had 115.

On September 30, 1928, Noble Pogrimmen and Royal Pogrimmen were merged to form the rural community of Pogrimmen. It had a total of 260 inhabitants in 1933 and 262 in 1939. On June 3, 1938 - with official confirmation of July 16, 1938 - Pogrimmen received the politically and ideologically wanted new name "Grimmen (Ostpr.)".

As a result of the Second World War , the place came under Soviet administration and was renamed again in 1947: now with the Russian name Ossipenko. At the same time, the place was classified in the Bagrationovsky village soviet . From 2008 to 2014 Osipenko belonged to the Gavrilowskoye rural community and since then to the Osjorsk district .

church

Noble and Royal Pogrimmen, then also Pogrimmen and Grimmen, were parish with their predominantly Protestant population in the Wilhelmsberg parish (since 1946 in Russian: Jablonowka) until 1945 . It belonged to the church district Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Johannes Schenk .
