Praslowo ( Russian Праслово , German Schönefeld, Gerdauen district ) is a small town in the southwest of Osjorsk Rajon ( Darkehmen district , 1938–1946 Angerapp ) in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast ( Königsberg area (Prussia) ). It belongs to the Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo ( Trempen )).

Geographical location

Praslowo is located 26 kilometers southwest of the Rajons capital Osjorsk on a side road that connects Ablutschje on the Russian highway R 508 with Korolenkowo ( Oschkin , 1938–1946 Oschern ) on the A197 highway . There is no rail connection.

history

In 1818 the small community, then called Schönefeld , had 171 inhabitants. On April 9, 1874, it was one of three communities and two manor districts that formed the newly established Kurkenfeld district . It belonged to 1945 the district Gerdauen in the administrative district of Konigsberg the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1905, 152 people lived in Schönefeld.

On September 30, 1928, the Kurkenfeld estate was incorporated into the rural community of Schönefeld, but with the loss of the community name, which was now Kurkenfeld . The population of Schönefeld remained almost constant - 1933: 154, 1939: 146.

In 1945 Schönefeld came to the Soviet Union like all of northern East Prussia and was renamed Praslowo in 1946 . In addition, "joined" it from the district Gerdauen in Ozyorsky District . Until 2009, the place was incorporated into the Nekrassowski soviet (Dorfsovjet Nekrassowo) within the Kaliningrad Oblast, which has been in Russia since 1991/92 . After that, Praslovo came to Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo) due to a structural and administrative reform in the Kaliningrad Oblast as a "settlement" (possjolok ).

church

Due to its predominantly Protestant population, Schönefeld was parish into the parish of Karpowen (1938–1946 Karpauen ) until 1945 . It was in the church district Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp ) within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

During the time of the Soviet Union , church life was hardly allowed. It was not until the 1990s that numerous new Protestant congregations formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast. They united to form the Kaliningrad provost within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia . Praslovo is located in the catchment area of the municipality in Chernyakhovsk .

school

Schönefeld was a school location until 1945. There was a two-class elementary school here.
