Filippowka ( Russian Филипповка , German Philippsthal ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ) and is located in the southwest of Osjorsk Rajon ( Darkehmen district , 1938–1946 Angerapp ). It belongs to the Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo ( Trempen )).
Geographical location
Filippowka is 23 kilometers southwest of the Rajons capital Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ) on the Russian trunk road R 508 . A side road from Nikolajewka ( forest castle ) joins the village . There is no rail connection.
history
The small place formerly called Philippsthal was until 1945 a district of the municipality Waldburg (Russian: Nikolajewka) and was located in the district of Kurkenfeld (Ablutschje) in the district of Gerdauen in the administrative district of Königsberg in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
After 1945 Philippsthal came to the Soviet Union with the whole of northern East Prussia and was renamed " Filippowka " in 1946 . The "change" from was associated with district Gerdauen in Ozyorsky District ( Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ). Until 2009, the place was incorporated in the 1991/92 Russian Oblast Kaliningrad in the Nekrassowski soviet (Dorfsovjet Nekrassowo ( (Greater) Karpowen ), 1938-1946 Karpauen ). Since then, due to structural and administrative reforms, Filippowka has been classified as a "settlement" (possjolok) within the Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo ( Trempen )).

Before 1945 Philippsthal was parish in the Protestant parish Karpowen (1938-1946 Karpauen , since 1946: Nekrassowo) and belonged to the church district Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp , since 1946: Osjorsk) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .
Today Filippowka is in the catchment area of the Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Chernyachovsk ( Insterburg ), which belongs to the Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
