Rossoschanka ( Russian Россошанка , German Neu Sauskoyen , 1938-1946 Neusauswalde ) is a place in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg area (Prussia) ). It is located in Osjorsk Rajon and belongs to the Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo ( Trempen )).

Geographical location

Rossoschanka is nine kilometers southwest of Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ) not far from the Russian highway R 508 .

Before 1945 there was a train connection via the station “Beynuhnen” (1938–1945 “Beinuhnen”) in the district of Klein Beynuhnen (1938–1946 Kleinbeinuhnen , since 1946: Uljanowskoje) on the line from Gumbinnen (now Russian: Gussew) to Angerburg (now Polish : Węgorzewo).

The village formerly called "New Sauskoyen" was in 1863 a place with 121 inhabitants. On May 6, 1874, it was one of the six communities that made up the newly established district of Kunigehlen (1938–1946 Stroppau , from 1946: Otradnoje) in the Darkehmen district ( Angerapp district 1938, Angerapp district 1939–1945 ) in the Gumbinnen district of the Prussian province of East Prussia formed.

In 1945 Neusauswalde came to the Soviet Union with the whole of northern East Prussia and was renamed "Rossoschanka" in 1946. Until 2009 the place in the since 1991/92 Russian Oblast Kaliningrad was incorporated into the Novostrojewski soviet (Village Council Nowostrojewo ( Trempen )) and has since been classified as a "settlement" (possjolok) within the Novostrojewskoje due to structural and administrative reform selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Novostrojewo) in Osjorsk district .

Neu Sauskoyen or Neusauswalde was parish until 1945 with its almost exclusively Protestant population in the parish of Dombrowken (1938–1945 Eibenburg , today in Polish: Dąbrówka). That belonged to the church district Darkehmen in the church province East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union .

Today Rossoschanka lies in the catchment area of ​​the Protestant parish of the " Salzburg Church " in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ) , which was newly formed in the 1990s . It belongs to the newly formed Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
