It is located in the southwest of Osjorsk Rajon ( Darkehmen district , 1938–1946 Angerapp ) and belongs to the Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo ( Trempen )).

A side road from Belabino ( Szidlack / Schidlack , 1938–1946 Schiedelau ) via Nekrassowo ( (Groß) Karpowen , 1938–1946 Karpauen ) flows into the village . There is no train connection.

history

On April 9, 1874, Klein Carpowen , later Klein Karpowen , was one of three rural communities and two manor districts that formed the newly established Kurkenfeld district (Russian: Ablutschje). It belonged to 1945 the district Gerdauen in the administrative district of Kaliningrad in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

On June 4, 1894, the rural community of Klein Karpowen merged with the rural community of Ernstwalde (Russian: Ilmowka) to form the new rural community of Klein Karpowen. In 1910, 164 people lived here.

On September 30, 1928, Klein Karpowen finally gave up his independence and merged with the Waldburg estate (Russian: Nikolajewka) to form the new rural community of Waldburg. On June 3, 1938 (with official confirmation of July 16, 1938) the place was given the politically and ideologically wanted name "Klein Karpau".

The name change shouldn't last long. When Klein Karpau came to the Soviet Union in 1945 with the whole of northern East Prussia , it was renamed "Malzewo" in 1946. In addition, "joined" it from the district Gerdauen in Ozyorsky District ( Darkehmen , from 1938 to 1946 Angerapp ). In the Kaliningrad Oblast, which has been in Russia since 1991/92, Malzewo was incorporated into the Nekrasovsky soviet (Dorfsovjet Nekrassowo ( (Greater) Karpowen , 1938-1946 Karpauen )) until 2009 . Due to a structural and administrative reform in the Kaliningrad Oblast, Malzewo came to the Novostrojewskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Novostrojewo ( Trempen )) classified as a "settlement" (possjolok ).

church

Until 1945 Klein Karpowen / Klein Karpau was parish with its predominantly Protestant population in the parish Karpowen (1938-1946 Karpauen ). It belonged to the church district Darkehmen ecclesiastical province East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union .

Today Malzewo is located in the catchment area of the Protestant community of the city of Chernyachovsk ( Insterburg ) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
