Schuwalowo ( Russian Шувалово , German United Wipes corners , 1938-1946 Ullrich village (East Prussia.) Is) a place in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Krasnojarskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Krasnojarskoje ( Sodehnen )) in Ozyorsky District ( Darkehmen district , 1938–1946 Angerapp ).
Geographical location
Shuwalowo is located in the northwest of the Osjorsk Rajon on the Russian trunk road R 517 (here section of the former German Reichsstrasse 137 ). It is 17 kilometers to the capital of the Rajons, Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ) or to the next larger city, Chernyachowsk ( Insterburg ). There is no rail connection.

The former Groß Wischtecken was one of the 16 rural communities or manor districts that formed the Judtschen district in 1874 (1938–1946 Kanthausen , since 1946: Wessjolowka). Until 1945 he belonged to the district of Gumbinnen (Russian: Gussew) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .
In 1910 Judtschen had 221 inhabitants, the number of which increased to 292 by 1933 and was already 329 in 1939. Since June 3, 1938 - officially confirmed on July 16, 1938 - Groß Wischtecken was given the new name " Ullrichsdorf (Ostpr.) " For political and ideological reasons .

Until 1945, Groß Wischtecken / Ullrichsdorf, with its almost exclusively Protestant population, was part of the parish of the Judtschen Church (1938–1946 Kanthausen , since 1945: Wessjolowka). It belonged to the Reformed church district with seat in Königsberg (Prussia) (Kaliningrad) within the province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergyman was Pastor Theodor Schultz .
During the time of the Soviet Union , church life was forbidden. It was not until the 1990s that new Protestant congregations formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast, the closest to Shuvalovo being that in the city of Chernyakhovsk ( Insterburg ). It belongs to the newly founded Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
