Meschdulessje ( Russian Междулесье , German Alt Thalau ) is a small place in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Krasnojarskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Krasnojarskoje ( Sodehnen )) in Ozyorsky District (District Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ) .
Geographical location
Meschdulessje is eight kilometers south of the district capital Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ) on the western bank of the Angrapa , four kilometers north of the Russian-Polish border. The small town can be reached via an impassable road in the junction of the trunk road R 508 near Osjorsk. There is no rail connection.
history
In 1874, the former Alt Thalau was one of the 14 rural communities or manor districts that formed the newly established district of Gudwallen (today in Russian: Lwowskoje). Until 1945 it belonged to the district of Darkehmen (renamed in 1938 to the district of Angerapp ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen (Gussew) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . Able Officially Old Thalau was associated with Darkehmen.
In 1863 Alt Thalau had 92 inhabitants. Their number sank to 70 by 1907, was 78 in 1925, 63 in 1933 and the same number in 1939.
As a result of the Second World War , Alt Thalau came under Soviet administration and in 1946 was given the new name "Meschdulessje". Until 2009, the place was incorporated into the Lvovsky Soviet (Dorfsovjet Lwowskoje), then came due to a structural and administrative reform as a "settlement" named place to Krasnoyarskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Krasnoyarskoye) in Osyorsk district in Kaliningrad Oblast.

Alt Thalau was until 1945 with its predominantly Protestant population in the parish Darkehmen (1938-1946 Angerapp , since 1946: Osjorsk) incorporated. It belonged to the church district Darkehmen (Angerapp) in the church province of East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . The last two German clergy were Pastors Johannes Gemmel and Helmut Passauer .
During the time of the Soviet Union , church activities were prohibited. It was not until the 1990s that new Protestant congregations formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast. Alt Thalau belongs to the church region of the Salzburg Church in Gussew , which is assigned to the Kaliningrad provost in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
