Geographical location

Novo-Gurjewskoje is north of the district capital Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938-1946 Angerapp ) on the Russian trunk road R 508 to Gussew ( Gumbinnen ), into which the trunk road R 517 coming from Chernyachovsk ( Insterburg ) joins. A railway connection no longer exists today, since the railway line from Insterburg (today in Russian: Tschernjachowsk) via Darkehmen (1938–1946 Angerapp , Russian: Osjorsk) to Goldap (today in Polish: Gołdap) to Lyck (Polish: Ełk) with the next train station in Spirockeln (1938–1946 Hohenfried , the place no longer exists today) was put out of service.

history

The former Kallnen , which was called Gelleichsnincken in the Endurisches Schulzenamt in the 16th century , became the central and eponymous administrative village of the district of Kallnen on May 6, 1874 , to which six rural communities belonged. He was part of the district of Darkehmen (1939–1945 district of Angerapp ) in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1907 there were 107 inhabitants in Kallnen, the number of which increased to 127 by 1925 and was 109 in 1933 and only 89 in 1939. On June 3, 1938 - officially confirmed on 16 July 1938 - Kallnen in "Dragon Mountain" was renamed .

But the new name should not be valid for long. When the village came under Soviet administration as a result of the Second World War , it was given the name "Novo-Gurjewskoje" in 1946. Until 2009, the place was then incorporated into the Sadovsky Soviet (Dorfsovjet Sadowoje ( Ballethen )) and has since been a "settlement" (possjolok) in the Krasnoyarskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Krasnoyarskoje ( Sodehnen )) due to structural and administrative reform in the Kaliningrad Oblast. incorporated in Osjorsk Raion .

Kallnen / Drachenberg district

In the years from 1874 to 1945, Kallnen was the official seat of the district named after him, to which six "founding communities" belonged:
