Schischkowo ( Russian Шишково , German Schill Ehlen , 1938-1946 Sillenfelde is) a place in the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast (region Königsberg (Prussia) ) and belongs to Krasnojarskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Krasnojarskoje ( Sodehnen )) in Ozyorsky District (District Darkehmen , 1938- 1946 Angerapp ).

Geographical location

Schischkowo is two kilometers northwest of a side road that connects Krasnojarskoje ( Sodehnen ) on the trunk road R 508 (former German Reichsstrasse 137 ) with Sadowoje ( Szallgirren / Schallgirren , 1938-1946 Kreuzhausen ) on the trunk road A 197 (former German Reichsstrasse 139 ). Until 1945, Sodehnen (Krasnojarksjoe) was the next train station on the line from Insterburg (now Russian: Tschernjachowsk) to Lyck (now Polish: Ełk), which is no longer in operation.

Place name

The Russian place name Schischkowo occurs again in Osjorsk Raion, referring to a place twelve kilometers further south and no longer officially existing today. It was called Kundszicken until 1936, Kundschicken from 1936 and Sandeck between 1938 and 1946 and was incorporated into the Lwowski Soviet ( Dorfsovjet Lwowskoje ( Gudwallen )) until 2009 .

history

In 1818 the former Schillehlen had 207 inhabitants, the number of which increased to 321 by 1863. On May 6, 1874 Schill Ehlen office Village was the eponymous administrative district in the county Darkehmen (1939-1945 district Angerapp ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

In 1910, 279 people lived in the place into which a part of the rural community Tarputschen ( Parish Ballethen (Sadowoje), Russian: Novoselje) was incorporated on January 1, 1911 . On October 1, 1928, parts of the rural community Schillehlen were spun off into the neighboring community of Groß Albrechtshof (Russian: Timirjasewo). Before 1945, Schillehlen belonged to the Ballethen registry office and was renamed "Sillenfelde" on June 3, 1938 with official confirmation from July 16, 1938. In 1939 the population was 234.

As a result of the Second World War , Sillenfelde came under Soviet administration and in 1946 was given the place name " Schischkowo ". Until 2009 it was incorporated into the Sadowski soviet (Dorfsovjet Dadowoje ( Ballethen )), but since a structural and administrative reform it has been a "settlement" (possjolok) named place in the Krasnoyarskoje selskoje posselenije (rural municipality Krasnoyarskoye ( Sodehnen )) in the Rajon Osjorsk in the now Russian Kaliningrad Oblast .
