Sapolje ( Russian Заполье , German Friedrichsfelde ) is a small town in the Russian Oblast Kaliningrad ( Koenigsberg region (Prussia) ). It is located in Osjorsk Rajon ( Darkehmen district , 1938–1946 Angerapp ) and belongs to the Krasnoyarskoje selskoje posselenije (rural community Krasnoyarskoje ( Sodehnen )).

Geographical location

Sapoljel is located southeast of the district capital Osjorsk ( Darkehmen , 1938–1946 Angerapp ), two kilometers northeast of the town of Tschistopolje ( Iodszinn , 1936–1938 Jodschinn , 1938–1946 Sausreppen ), and can only be reached on a very impassable road that leads into the Russian- Polish border area leads and gets lost there. There is no train connection.

history

The former Gutsdorf Friedrichsfelde had only 15 inhabitants in 1818. Their number rose to 27 by 1863 and was 28 in 1907. At the beginning of the 20th century, the additional designation "Kirchspiel Friedrichsfelde" became more and more common to avoid confusion with the place of the same name in the " Parish Karpowen " (1938–1946 Karpauen , since 1946: Nekrassowo) - also located in the Darkehmen district - should be avoided.

On October 17, 1928, the Friedrichsfelde manor district merged with the rural community of Bagdohnen (1938–1946 Kleinsausreppen , since 1946: Peski) and the rural communities Adamischken (since 1946: Antonowka) and Iodszinn as well as the Gotthardsthal manor (since 1946: Swerewo) to form the new rural community Iodine tin (1936–1938 Jodschinn , 1938–1946 Sausreppen , since 1946: Tschistopolje) together. Friedrichsfelde previously belonged to the Weedern District (since 1946: Suworowka), it was then reclassified to the Szabienen District with its seat in Żabin , which is now in Poland .

That changed in 1945 as a result of the Second World War , when Friedrichsfelde came under Soviet administration and in 1946 was given the new name " Sapolje ". By the year 2009, the city was part of the Lwowski soviet (village Soviet Lwowskoje ( Gudwallen )) and afterwards was due to structural and administrative reform in the Kaliningrad one called a "settlement" (possjolok) part of Krasnojarskoje selskoje posselenije (Town Krasnojarskoje ( Sodehnen ) ) in Osjorsk Raion .

church

Friedrichsfelde was parish until 1945 with its predominantly Protestant population in the parish Darkehmen (1938–1946 Angerapp , since 1946: Osjorsk). It belonged to the church district Darkehmen in the church province East Prussia of the church of the Old Prussian Union . The last German clergy were Pastors Johannes Gemmel and Helmut Passauer .

After all church activities were banned during the Soviet Union , it was not until the 1990s that new Protestant congregations formed in the Kaliningrad Oblast. Sapolje is now in the region of the Salzburg Church in Gussew ( Gumbinnen ) within the Kaliningrad provost of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of European Russia (ELKER).
