Richard Golle was a trained tool lathe operator, but turned to road cycling in 1911 . From 1914 to 1928 he worked as a professional . Twice, in 1919 and 1923, he was German master for professional drivers on the road. From 1920 he tried his hand at staying on the track , took part in the six-day race in Breslau in 1924 , but returned to the streets.
Golle remained a racing driver until 1928, but could not achieve any further successes worth mentioning. He then opened a bicycle store in Pankow and was listed in the Berlin address books until 1937. In 1948 he was mentioned in a cycling magazine in Berlin.
