Martin Reimer (born June 14, 1987 in Cottbus ) is a former German racing cyclist .

Athletic career

In 2006, Martin Reimer finished second in the one-day race Cottbus - Görlitz -Cottbus. The following year he took second place in a section of the Tour de Berlin . He also became German runner-up in the team pursuit of the elite class on the track . At the German U23 championship in 2008 in Lorsch , he won the road race.

From 2009 he drove for the Swiss Cervélo TestTeam and surprisingly became German champion in the elite road race in Cottbus. After the dissolution of the Cervélo TestTeam in 2011, he switched to the Dutch cycling team Argos-Shimano . Since he did not receive a new contract for 2012 due to a lack of success, he announced his retirement from cycling in November 2011. In 2013 he returned to cycling as part of the South African team MTN Qhubeka , where Jens Zemke and Thomas Campana are also former members of the Cervélo TestTeam in management. For the 2015 season he returned to the LKT Team Brandenburg , but ended his career at the end of the season.
