Felix Manthey

Felix Manthey (born October 24, 1898 in Berlin ; † October 8, 1971 there ) was a German cyclist .

As an amateur he was a member of the Berlin association BBC Germania . In 1920, at the age of 21, Felix Manthey took third place in the German championship in road racing. In the following years he repeatedly took podium places in races such as Around Cologne , Munich-Berlin , Championships of Zurich , Berlin-Cottbus-Berlin and Munich-Zurich . In 1922 he won the Bavarian Tour and in 1925 Bern-Geneva . In 1928 he became German road racing champion ahead of Herbert Nebe and Bruno Wolke .

In 1930 Manthey started in the Tour de France , where national teams competed for the first time, and finished 22nd overall. He also took part in the Tour of Germany twice, in 1922 he was seventh and in 1930 fifth in the overall ranking.
