Robin Byron Lopez (born April 1, 1988 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American basketball player who has played with his twin brother Brook Lopez in the NBA at the Milwaukee Bucks since the 2019/2020 season .

College career

Robin Lopez played two seasons from 2006 to 2008 for Stanford University's in-house team , for Stanford Cardinal . He scored 8.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.3 shot blocks per game .

NBA career

In the 2008 NBA draft , Robin Lopez was selected 15th by the Phoenix Suns , five positions behind his brother Brook. In his first year as a rookie , he was able to contribute an average of 3.1 points and 2.0 rebounds . His playing time was 10.2 minutes per game.

Robin Lopez was transferred to the New Orleans Hornets in the summer of 2012 . Lopez played for the Hornets until the summer of 2013. After his contract in New Orleans he moved within the league to the Portland Trail Blazers . He made his breakthrough in Portland. He started in all 82 games and scored 11.1 points, got 8.5 rebounds and blocked 1.7 throws per game. Because of his physical style of play, Lopez became a crowd favorite in Portland. In the 2014–15 season, he broke his hand and was out for a month. In the summer of 2015, Lopez left the Trailblazers and joined the New York Knicks . After a season in New York, he was sent to the Chicago Bulls in a five-player trade in the summer of 2016 . On July 12, 2019, he signed with the Milwaukee Bucks as a free agent.
