Rotella is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 843 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Ascoli Piceno in Marche . The municipality is located about 11.5 kilometers north-northwest of Ascoli Piceno , belongs to the Comunità montana dei Sibillini and borders directly on the province of Fermo . The Tesino flows through the municipality and has its source here. The northernmost tip of the municipality reaches as far as the Aso .
