The Route 136 is a national road (route nationale) of the Canadian province of Quebec . It runs entirely on the territory of the provincial capital Québec .
The street begins next to the Aquarium du Québec in the Arrondissement of Sainte-Foy-Sillery-Cap-Rouge . In a wide loop it leads to the bank of the Saint Lawrence River , where it crosses the Pont Pierre-Laporte and the Québec Bridge . This is followed by a ten-kilometer section in a north-easterly direction along the river bank, bounded by the steep slope of the Colline de Québec . This section is called Boulevard Champlain . The street reaches the edge of the lower town and becomes Rue Dalhousie . At the old port it turns to the west, leads as Quai Saint-André past the main train station Gare du Palais , crosses the Rivière Saint-Charles and finally ends at Autoroute 440 .
