The Autoroute 25 in the eastern Canadian province of Quebec belongs to a length of 8 km to the Trans-Canada Highway system, the whole Autoroute has km in length 51st The crossing of the Rivière des Prairies has been a toll road since 2011 .

Route description

The car route begins at the intersection of Routes 125 and 158 in Saint-Esprit and heads south-east. The route is developed like a motorway and is intended to develop the communities northwest of Montréal . The Autoroute leads over the Rivière des Mille Îles , where it meets Autoroute 440 , which in Laval is a cross-link to Autoroute 13 . Since May 2011, the autoroute has been running over the newly built Olivier-Charbonneau Bridge over the Rivière des Prairies . With this bridge the metropolis of Montréal is reached. There she meets Autoroute 40 , which stretches east to Québec and comes from Gatineau from the west . The Trans-Canada Highway label begins at this junction. After crossing the center of Montréal, the autoroute meets the Saint Lawrence River . This is crossed by the Louis H Lafontaine tunnel, on the other side of the river the Autoroute 25 joins the Autoroute 20 and ends there.
