The Haimburg ruin , also called Homburg , Homberg , Hainberg or Hainburg , is a ruin of a hilltop castle at the end of 530 m above sea level. NN high protruding mountain tongue above the steep drop to the Eyachtal 2.5 kilometers west of the Baden-Württemberg community Grosselfingen in the Zollernalb district .
The castle was built from 1275 to 1325 by Count Friedrich VI. Count von Zollern built and mentioned in 1344, then destroyed. In 1420 it was rebuilt by Konrad von Bubenhofen and still used in 1465.
Remains of the shield wall , the neck ditch and the two polygonal ring walls are still preserved from the small complex .
The ruin is privately owned and may no longer be visited due to the risk of collapse for safety reasons.
