The South German soccer championship of 1924/25 of the South German Soccer Association was won by VfR Mannheim . This was the first win of the southern German soccer championship for the Mannheimers, who thereby qualified for the German soccer championship 1924/25 . For the final round of the German soccer championship, runners-up 1. FC Nürnberg and third-placed FSV Frankfurt also qualified . While Südmeister Mannheim was eliminated in the first round, 1. FC Nürnberg and FSV Frankfurt finally faced each other in the final. The "Club" won 1-0 after extra time and became German champions for the fourth time.
The district leagues formed the top divisions in southern Germany. During this season, 40 teams were divided into five district leagues. The five district champions qualified for the final round of the southern German championship, the two bottom of the table in each season had to be relegated.
In the final round, the champions of the five district leagues played out the southern German champions in a double round. The first three winners represented southern Germany in the final round of the German soccer championship .
