Sagi Muki , Hebrew שגיא מוקי(Born May 17, 1992 in Netanya ) is an Israeli judoka and two-time European champion: 2015 in Baku (in the class up to 73 kg) and 2018 in Tel Aviv (in the class up to 81 kg).

After Ariel Zeevi, Muki is the second male judoka in his country to win a European championship. His success in front of his home crowd at the 2018 European Championships was particularly well received in Israel. He met the Belgian Sami Chouchi in the final and won with Waza'ari .

Sagi Muki was successful in various international competitions. At the Grand Prix in Tashkent he won gold in the class up to 81 kg. As the best European, he finished seventh at the 2017 World Cup . His victory in the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi came to a historic moment on October 28, 2018, when the national anthem of Israel was played in the United Arab Emirates for the first time (announced by the hall speaker with the words: “Ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the national anthem of Israel. ”) After the host had refused this honor to the victorious judoka Tal Flicker in 2017, he bowed to pressure from the International Judo Federation in 2018 to treat all athletes equally. In the battle for gold, Sagi Muki had previously defeated Matthias Casse from Belgium; Casse had reached the final because his Iranian opponent Saeid Mollaei had given up after 30 seconds of fighting time - according to his own statements because of an injury.

In 2019 Sagi Muki reached the final of three Grand Slam tournaments. In Paris he was defeated by the German Dominic Ressel , in Ekaterinburg he won against the Japanese Takanori Nagase and in Baku he defeated the Bulgarian Iwaylo Iwanow . In all three tournaments he had defeated Matthias Casse on the way to the final.
