Samuel "Sämi" Kreis (born April 4, 1994 in Burgdorf BE ) is a Swiss ice hockey player who has been playing for EHC Biel in the National League since the 2017/18 season .
Career
Samuel Kreis began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth team of SC Bern, for whose professional team he made his National League A debut in the 2012/13 season . During the season he was used in a total of 15 games. Kreis was born and raised in Burgdorf in the canton of Bern. At the end of January 2017 he was temporarily awarded to the NLB club EHC Olten . For the next season he moved from SCB to canton rivals EHC Biel .
International
For Switzerland, Kreis took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 2011 and 2012 , where he acted as team captain at the 2012 tournament . On January 22, 2015 Samuel Kreis was called up for the first time by national coach Glen Hanlon for the national team.
