San Antonio is the capital of the eponymous department of San Antonio in the Jujuy Province in northwest Argentina . It is located on the southern edge of the province and has 3,698 inhabitants (2001, INDEC ). The distance to the provincial capital San Salvador de Jujuy is 37 kilometers. The way to San Antonio leads over the Ruta Nacional 9 and the Ruta Provincial 2 .
