Schafhof is a former district of the Obernzenn market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia . After 1885 this is no longer listed as a district.

geography

In addition to the residential building, the wasteland has four outbuildings. The Baumbach rises there, a right tributary of the Steinbach, which in turn is a left tributary of the Zenn . The old oak corridor area borders in the southeast. The Kalkgraben is about 0.5 km northeast of the village. A communal road leads to Limbach (0.5 km north) or to Hechelbach (1.5 km south-east).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1509.

At the end of the 18th century the Schafhof belonged to Limbach . The court had the Teutonic Order Coming Virnsberg as landlord . The Schafhof was given house number 14 in Limbach.

As part of the community edict, Schafhof was assigned to the Oberaltenbernheim tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Oberaltenbernheim formed in 1811 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Unteraltenbernheim . On May 1, 1978, Schafhof was incorporated into Obernzenn as part of the regional reform .

The place has remained predominantly Catholic even after the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Martin (Unteraltenbernheim) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish after the Assumption of Mary (Sondernohe) .
