Veitsmühle is an unofficial part of the Obernzenn market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia . Officially, it is part of the Oberaltenbernheim district .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Zenn . Immediately to the east, the Seebach flows into the Zenn as a left tributary. It consists of a residential building and eight outbuildings. The place is on a community road that leads to Rappenau (1.5 km northwest) or Oberaltenbernheim to state road 2413 (0.3 km southeast).

history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Veitsmühle belonged to Oberaltenbernheim. The mill had the Teutonic Order Coming Virnsberg as landlord . The Veitsmühle was given house number 8 in the village of Obereraltenbernheim.

As part of the municipal edict, Veitsmühle was assigned to the Oberaltenbernheim tax district formed in 1808 . She also belonged to the rural community of Oberaltenbernheim formed in 1811 . On January 1, 1972, this was incorporated into Obernzenn as part of the regional reform .

The place has remained predominantly Catholic even after the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Maria (Unterzenn) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish after Assumption of Mary (Sondernohe) .
