Severni Banat ( . Serb Severno-Banatski okrug or Северно-Банатски округ , Hungarian. Észak-bánsági körzet , slowak. Severobanátsky okres , rum. Districtul Banatul de Nord , kroat. Sjeverno-Banatski okrug , German District Nordbanat ) is a Serbian administrative district in northern part of Vojvodina .

According to the 2002 census, this district has 165,881 inhabitants. The main administrative seat is the city of Kikinda .

Ethnically, the population in the district consists mainly of Magyars (78,551 or 47.4%) and Serbs (72,242 or 43.6%) and others.

The most commonly used languages ​​are Serbian and Hungarian with 48% each.

City administrations with a Serb majority are Kikinda (76%) and Novi Kneževac (59%), with a Magyar majority Ada (77%), Čoka (52%), Kanjiža (86%) and Senta (81%). Of the 50 sub-municipalities, there are 19 with a Serb majority, 1 with a mixed majority and the rest with a Magyar majority.
