Južna Bačka , ( Serbian Јужно-Бачки округ, Južno Bački okrug , Hungarian Dél-bácskai körzet , Slovak Juhobáčsky okres , Romanian Districtul Bačka de Sud ) or Southern Batschka is an administrative district in the western part of Vojvodina .

According to the 2011 census, this district has 607,835 inhabitants. The main administrative seat is the city of Novi Sad . The ethnic composition in the district in 2002 was as follows: Serbs (69%), Magyars (9.3%), Slovaks , Croats , Montenegrins , Ruthenians and others. Seven of the 11 municipalities have a Serb majority: Novi Sad (75%), Titel (85%), Žabalj (86%), Beočin (68%), Srbobran (67%), Bačka Palanka (78%) and Temerin (64 %). One municipality has a Slovak majority: Bački Petrovac with 68%. Three are mixed: Vrbas with 48% and Bač with 46% Serbs and Bečej with 49% Magyars.
