Solana is a municipality in the Philippine province of Cagayan and is located in the south of the province. It borders on the province of Kalinga in the south . In 2015 it had 82,502 inhabitants. The archaeological sites in Cagayan Valley that are in the municipality, are since 2006 on the proposed list of the Philippines for inclusion on the World Heritage List of UNESCO .
