Abulug

Abulug is a municipality in the Philippine province of Cagayan . The municipality is located in the north of the province and borders the province of Apayao in the south . It was founded in 1572 as the town of Tulug and renamed Abulug in 1629. The river that crosses the town and flows into Luzon Street is also called Abulug . Most of the population belongs to the Ibanag tribe . The main industries are agriculture and fishing.
