Santa Teresita is a municipality in the Philippine province of Cagayan and is located in the north of the province on the South China Sea . In 2015 the 166.9 km² area had 19,038 inhabitants, resulting in a population density of 114 inhabitants per km². In addition to agriculture, part of the population lives from building rattan furniture . There are also two lakes, Cagayan Lake and Bangalao Lake, in the municipality.
