The Iraq accepted the 20 athletes 2008 Summer Paralympics in China's Beijing in part.

The flag bearer at the opening ceremony was Faris Al-Ajeeli . The best result of the team was achieved by the powerlifter Rasool Mohsin in the class up to 56 kilograms with the silver medal.
